Legacy of TMSS

TMSS is a leading female headed non government organization in Bangladesh and South Asia. It was initially founded in 1964 and reformed by Prof. Dr. Hosne Ara Begum, Ashoka Fellow, in 1980 in Bogura, Bangladesh. Bogura district is also known as the historical and cultural capital of South Asia stemming from the ancient civilization of the Pundra Kingdom.

With the exceptional and forward-thinking leadership of Prof. Dr. Hosne-Ara Begum over the years, TMSS has substantially demonstrated praiseworthy works and become able to build a sound image of the organization among all concerned entities including the stakeholders. TMSS has earned good reputation as one of the most dynamically grown and well-managed organization and its commitment is to achieve and ensure accelerating environmental, social and economical sustainable development in Bangladesh.

WASH is a top priority for TMSS

The extensive reach of TMSS across all of the nations has created a wealth of opportunity for TMSS to work in this crucial sector. Currently, TMSS is carrying out a number of activities on its own initiative and with the assistance of other donor organizations to ensure the access to safe water, sanitary facilities, and hygienic practices for the backward communities across the country.
