TMSS IN THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Covid Response
In Bangladesh, the cases of COVID-19 infected people is on the rise while reports of deaths are increasingly unfolding in the country. TMSS has joined the national efforts to tackle the corona virus pandemic and to help protecting the lives and livelihoods of its communities, stakeholders and workforce as well as collaborating with Govt. to response Covid-19.
COVID-19 Test for overseas travelers WHAT TMSS IS DOING
- COVID- 19 diagnosis centre (first ever among private hospitals in the country)
- Mask Distribution - 18 Lac
- Food Distribution to the poor- 1.20 Lac
- Launching TMSS Donation Box: https://donation-tmss.org
- Distribution of PPES and other Accessories - 25000 and DGHS 50000
- COVID-19 Awareness Campaign - Miking, Leaflet- 18 Lac
- Online Virtual Meeting with TMSS Global families and external elites/experts to response Covid-19.
Medical Service:
- Testing of Covid - 19 by RT-PCR Machine from 30 May'20 with medical services to affected patients.
- Covid - 19 Test up to January 2022: Tested: 33450 and Received treatment: 2895.
- Per day an average of 500 patients, including indoor & outdoor, attended.
- Mobile health care/Doctors team providing door to door treatment service.
- Deployed medical, health professionals & volunteers for the, 300 Covid-19 Dedicated bed, 10 ICU, 1000-bed hospital services, the 96 community-based clinics.
- Established 3 quarantine centres and responded to Govt. Authority (DC Office) in establishing quarantine Centres.
Present Clients of Covid-19 Clients/Companies:
- Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant, Islami Bank, DBBL Bogura, RDA, Suspected Covid - 19 Patients of Private Hospitals & Clinics from Bogura and adjoining districts.
- TMSS Grand Health Sector has developed at least 6 protocols for providing a standard treatment services to COVID-19 patients. These protocols are- PPE donning and doffing guidelines, Triage Protocol, PPE use and reuse guideline, Hospital preparedness guidelines, Infection control guideline, Dead body disposal guideline.
- RESEARCH- TMSS Grand Health Sector is working on COVID researches. At present 16 researches are going on. One resarch titled 'RESPONSES OF THE COMMUNITY PEOPLE TOWARDS COVID-19: A RAPID ASSESSMENT 'has been done and report is published internationally in Lambert Academic Publication.
