TMSS Nursing Institute Hosts Food Fair Event in Dhaka

The TMSS Nursing Institute, located in Paribagh, Dhaka, recently hosted a vibrant food fair as part of its educational curriculum. This institute is one of the 43 educational institutions approved by the Government of Bangladesh under the TMSS umbrella. Conveniently situated near Bangabandhu Medical University Hospital (PG Hospital), the institute operates under the skilled leadership of Dr. Nigar Sultana, the Head of TMSS ICT and Environment Sector.

The event was a significant opportunity for students to showcase their knowledge and skills related to food patterns and dietary practices. Distinguished guests, including the Head of PG Nursing College, Instructor Kalpana Haldar, the Executive Director of TMSS, and other senior officials, attended the event, lending their support to the initiative.

Throughout the day, students presented various food clusters, explained the importance of balanced diets for patients, and demonstrated healthy methods of food preparation. The exhibition and discussions were led by Professor Azmira Begum, a renowned nursing education expert and Principal of TMSS Nursing Institute. Her insights into the role of food education in healthcare added immense value to the event.

The food fair successfully emphasized the importance of diet in patient care, providing both students and attendees with a deeper understanding of how nutrition plays a crucial role in overall health and recovery.
