In an exciting move towards healthier living, TMSS hosted a product launch event at the VIP conference room of TMSS Cancer Centre in Bogura, showcasing safe and eco-friendly food products created by local entrepreneurs. This initiative is part of a larger project under the “Production and Marketing of Ecologically Friendly Safe Vegetables” sub-project of the RMTP scheme, supported by Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF).
The project aims to empower 11,500 vegetable farmers across four upazilas of Bogura district, equipping them with sustainable farming practices and facilitating the marketing of their eco-friendly, safe food products.
The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Mamata Haque, Senior Agricultural Marketing Officer of the District Directorate of Agricultural Marketing, Bogura, as the chief guest. TMSS Executive Director Professor Dr. Hosne-Ara Begum, along with other senior officials, shared their valuable insights on the importance of safe food production and the role TMSS plays in this vital initiative. The program was chaired by TMSS Deputy Executive Director Md. Sohrab Ali Khan.
Entrepreneurs like Md. Mehdi Hasan, who processes healthy masala products, and Sumi Rani, a producer of pumpkin pills, shared their success stories, inspiring others in the field to follow their lead.
Agriculturist ABM Mahmudul Hasan presented detailed information about the project, and Senior Assistant Director Mohammad Abdul Quddus skillfully moderated the event.
TMSS’s role extends beyond simply supporting farmers and entrepreneurs. Through this initiative, TMSS is promoting healthy living, improving food safety, and providing a sustainable path for local farmers to reach new markets with their produce.
