TMSS is proud to announce the successful conclusion of its Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2024, held on December 23-24, 2024, at the Momo Inn Hotel, Bogura, Bangladesh. This year’s event marked a significant step in reinforcing TMSS’s commitment to innovative development and socio-economic progress, showcasing strategic planning and effective resource allocation.
Key Budget Approval for Transformative Change
A major highlight of the AGM was the approval of the budget for the fiscal year 2024-25, totaling BDT 14,665 crore. This budget will drive TMSS’s efforts in health, education, and socio-economic development, creating a path for transformative change in the coming year.
Day One: Presentations, Approvals, and Key Decisions
On Day One, TMSS’s Founder Executive Director, Professor Dr. Hosne Ara Begum, presented the organization’s future strategies. The event featured several notable guests, including:
- Professor Dr. M. Aminul Islam, Special Assistant to the Education Advisor and TMSS Consultant
- Professor Dr. Sayedur Rahman, Vice-Chancellor of BSMMU and Special Assistant to the Health Advisor
- Mahmudur Rahman Manna, President of Nagorik Oikya
- Professor Dr. Md. Hasanath Ali, Vice-Chancellor of Naogaon University
The Annual Report, Financial Report, and Budget Proposal were presented and unanimously approved by the assembly. TMSS’s board members and departmental heads also shared updates on their achievements and ongoing projects.
Noteworthy Initiatives and Strategic Decisions
TMSS has launched several new initiatives aimed at strengthening its operations:
- Launch of Domestic Sales & Purchase Coupons.
- Establishment of TMSS Discipline Special Branch.
- Formation of a Volunteer Foundation.
- Creation of a Dedicated Unit for Debt Recovery.
- Inauguration of a Global Law Division.
- Inclusion of Lifetime Members.
These initiatives reflect TMSS’s ongoing efforts to expand and strengthen its impact.
Day Two: Strengthening the Health Sector
The second day of the AGM featured a special visit by Professor Dr. Sayedur Rahman, Vice-Chancellor of BSMMU. He praised TMSS’s contributions to health and education, highlighting the organization’s role in national welfare. He, alongside Prof. Dr. Aminul Islam, visited key TMSS facilities, including the Cancer Center, Biomolecular Lab, Heart Center, Nursing College, and Medical College.
A Moment of Reflection
The AGM opened with a moment of silence in honor of A.F. Hasan Arif, Advisor to the Interim Government, and the TMSS lifetime members and staff who passed away.
