RDA–BRDB Officials Explore TMSS Rural Development Work

A team of officials from the Rural Development Academy (RDA), Bogura and the Bangladesh Rural Development Board (BRDB) recently visited the TMSS Foundation Office in Thengamara, Bogura. The visit was part of their joint training program titled “Rural Development through Organization and Credit Management.”

Led by Sheikh Mehdi Mohammad, Director (Rural Administration and Gender) at RDA, the delegation visited various TMSS projects and facilities. They explored how TMSS promotes sustainable rural development, women empowerment, and community-driven initiatives across Bangladesh.

During the visit, the officials observed TMSS’s development activities, interacted with field-level teams, and learned about the organization’s innovative operational model. Their engagement reflected deep curiosity about TMSS’s approach to women-led development, which has been a driving force behind its long-term success.

In the evening, the delegation joined an interactive exchange meeting with TMSS officials at the TMSS Binodon Jogot auditorium. The session created a meaningful platform for sharing ideas, experiences, and strategies for achieving inclusive rural growth.

During the meeting, Professor Dr. Hosne-Ara Begum, Executive Director of TMSS, shared the inspiring journey of the organization — from its inception to becoming one of Bangladesh’s leading development institutions. She discussed the current programs, future goals, and the impact of partnerships with organizations like RDA and BRDB. Dr. Begum also reflected on past collaborations that have strengthened the rural development ecosystem.

The day concluded with a delightful apprentice cultural evening, organized by the Dr. Enamul Haque Art and Cultural Academy. The visiting officials enjoyed a series of performances that showcased TMSS’s commitment to promoting art, culture, and creativity alongside development work.
