Bogura, Bangladesh: TMSS has completed a month-long tree plantation and sapling distribution programme across 50 upazilas in southern Bangladesh. The initiative reflects TMSS’s strong commitment to climate action, environmental protection, and sustainable community development.

During August 2026, TMSS distributed 26,500 fruit, timber, and medicinal saplings across its branches and working areas in 50 upazilas. The programme supported the Government of Bangladesh’s Environmental Protection Programme 2026.

TMSS funded the entire initiative from its own resources. The programme covered 12 districts, including Khulna, Bagerhat, Satkhira, Jashore, Jhenaidah, Kushtia, Magura, Rajbari, Narail, Gopalganj, Meherpur, and Chuadanga.

Supporting Climate Action Through Tree Plantation

Climate change continues to create serious environmental challenges in Bangladesh. Coastal and southern regions face increasing risks from cyclones, salinity, land degradation, and biodiversity loss.
