In a significant step toward enhancing TMSS’s global presence, a five-member delegation led by Professor Dr. Hosne Ara Begum, Executive Director of TMSS, departed for the United Kingdom on 25th July 2025. The visit comes at the cordial invitation of the internationally renowned “Primark Cotton Project“, an initiative that promotes sustainable cotton farming practices across Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan.
The TMSS team is scheduled to stay in the UK for two weeks, during which they will actively participate in multiple high-level meetings with Primark and other stakeholders. In addition to the official discussions, the delegation will engage with members of the Bangladeshi diaspora in the UK to explore investment opportunities in Bangladesh and exchange views on collaborative development initiatives.
This international visit aims to strengthen TMSS’s image globally, build strategic partnerships, and highlight the organization’s commitment to sustainable development and women’s empowerment.
The Primark Cotton Project supports cotton farmers in adopting low-water, low-chemical farming methods, enhancing soil health, boosting crop yields, and reducing the environmental footprint of cotton production.
We wish the TMSS delegation a successful and impactful visit and look forward to the positive outcomes of this international engagement.
