TMSS Engineering Department
TMSS Engineering Department was established in 1991. The Aims of the engineering department are the Construction of all infrastructure of the organization and giving technical support in all sectors of engineering. Vision of the department is the achievement of aims by following the TMSS’s goal on providing modern technical knowledge and tools to develop quality workforce. The Mission of the department is work implementation, technical instruction according to the present and future requirements of TMSS and offer employment as per requirement.
The main activities of the department are architectural design, planning of high rise building and industries and low cost structure/housing, reconstructing and renovating of existing structures. Electrical and plumbing drawings, electrical wiring, substation and generator installation and maintenance, heavy equipment operation and maintenance, vehicle operation and maintenance and so on. Moreover the plans for land development and other activities like excavation of ponds, roads, bridges and culverts are also designed by this department. Garbage Management is one of the important projects in aspect of environmental issue managed by Engineering Department.
- Architecture section is responsible for Generating ideas, Planning, Designing, Architectural drawings, Architectural visualization, Working drawing, Climatic analysis.
- Work of the design section includes Structural Analysis and Design, Drawing, Estimating and Budget of construction according to Drawing, Approval Sheet, Authority Approval.
- Construction and Implementation carry out Construction, Site Supervision, Sanitary and Plumbing work, Construction Management.
- The QC is an integral part of any construction project as it ensures proper quality of the materials, methods of execution maintain guidelines of BNEC and ACI standards and make sure work progresses according to it.
- Mechanical section in TMSS Engineering Department is the most vast and widespread in its work provision. Consisting of many multi-lateral types of work such as: Vehicle and Heavy Equipment, Garbage Management Unit, AC Repair and Maintenance, Generator Maintenance, Gas Connection.
- Repairing and Maintenance section executes all repair work of any provisions throughout any structures of TMSS throughout the year.
- Electrical section responsibility is to liaise with the concerned Electrical Connection authority, Substation operation, Building wiring, Internal electrical supply system, Main supply line, Cable and other electrical appliance design.
At present, we have 188 nos. Infrastructures (Building and Houses) all over Bangladesh. In 2019-2020 fy we have completed project of 123369 sft. as TMC Boys hostel (7storied), TMSS Utpadon food factory (4 storied), TPSC Canteen, TDM Building, PUB Civil Lab, PUB Convention Hall, PUB Substation Building, TMBJ Park Gate-02, TMBJ Toilet Block, RC Gate, TPI-Joypurhat, Donar Board, RC Complex, TMSS Apparels Ltd, Tongi, TMSS HRD and T Tin Shed Dormitory, Tong, Hirur Bari Satrabas, PUB Generator Room, TUF Sub-station, RCH Porch, HRDandT Training Venue (SEIP Project Food and Beverage), TTI Gate, RC Chattor Varmi Compost, TMBJ Office work etc.
