Project Overview:
The ECCCP-Drought project, co-funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF), is being implemented by PKSF through TMSS and 17 local NGOs to support drought resilience in the Barind region of Bangladesh. The project aims to strengthen the resilience of communities impacted by drought in 14 vulnerable upazilas across Naogaon, Rajshahi, and Chapainawabganj districts.
Key Details:
- Targeted Areas: 14 drought-prone upazilas in Naogaon, Rajshahi, and Chapainawabganj
- Beneficiaries: 215,000 direct beneficiaries; indirect benefits extend to the entire population of the selected upazilas
- Duration: 4 years (48 months)
Through this initiative, various services and climate adaptation technologies are being provided to support local communities in combating the challenges posed by climate change.
