Empowering Women Entrepreneurs: TMSS Collaboration with Women’s Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Chattogram

On June 25, 2025, TMSS partnered with the Women’s Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Chattogram (CWCCI) to advance the cause of women entrepreneurship and economic empowerment in Bangladesh. The event took place at the Women’s Chamber Complex in Agrabad, Chattogram, and featured an interactive training session aimed at capacity-building for women entrepreneurs.

The esteemed Dr. Monowara Hakim Ali, a prominent social worker and entrepreneur, founded CWCCI. She is also the owner of the Intraco Group, Hotel Agrabad, and the Commercial Complex in the Chattogram business district. Through her visionary leadership, women entrepreneurs in Bangladesh are receiving critical support, including training, education, exposure visits, and financial assistance, paving the way for inclusive economic growth and women’s empowerment.

Although Dr. Monowara Hakim Ali is currently abroad, several distinguished speakers graced the event. TMSS Executive Director Professor Dr. Hosne-Ara Begum delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to women’s development and socio-economic progress. Renowned scientist Professor Dr. Sanjan K. Das also shared valuable insights, while TMSS Chattogram Domain Head Mr. Md. Abdur Razzak emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in supporting female-led enterprises.

The training session was attended by a large audience of aspiring and existing women entrepreneurs, who actively engaged in learning new skills, exchanging experiences, and building networks.
