TMSS Medical College in Bogura, recognized as one of the finest medical educational institutions in the country, marked the TMC Day-2024 and concluded the Student Week with a grand ceremony on Saturday. The event, organized by the Alumni Association, showcased the institution’s commitment to producing high-quality, modern, and skilled doctors who stand as a source of pride for the people of North Bengal.
The festivities commenced with a vibrant rally that wound its way through the main thoroughfare of Bogura, bringing the city to life with the spirited march of students. The campus buzzed with activity as the Alumni-led celebrations featured a captivating Pitha festival and Cultural programs that enthralled attendees.
The day’s highlight was a discussion meeting held at 10 am at Maryam Gallery on the TMSS Medical College campus. Renowned figures such as Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Principal, Professor Dr. Rezaul Alam Jewel, and Bogura Army Medical College Principal, Brigadier General Borhan Uddin, addressed the gathering. TMC Principal, Professor Dr. Md Zakir Hossain, chaired the meeting, with Vice Principal of Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College, Professor Dr. Sushant Kumar Sarkar, and others sharing their insights.
The welcome speech, delivered by TMSS Deputy Executive Director, Dr. Md. Matiur Rahman, set the tone for a day of reflection and celebration. Invited guests, teachers, and students engaged in meaningful discourse on the institution’s journey and its pivotal role during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Speaking on the occasion, the guests emphasized TMC’s progress in medical education and its distinct goal.
