Post Literacy, Continuing Education and Human Development-2 Project

After successful completion of PLCEHD-II, TMSS has been awarded a contract by BNFE, Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, GoB, for the implementation of PLCEHD-II Project in 6 Upazilas of Nilphamari District under Rangpur Division for another one year. Accordingly TMSS has started implementation of the project activities in the said Upazilas since.

The main objectives of the project is to consolidate, upgrade and fine-tune the acquired skills of Neo-literate and provide them with skill training from the list of available and suitable skills considering the market demand and supply.

The major activities under taken, provided and completed by TMSS project staffs are:

  • Literacy related learning session for 12240 male & female Neo-literates in 2 shifts through 204 learning centers.
  • Issue based discussion for capacity development of these 12240 Neo-literates.
  • Skill development trainings to these 12240 Neo-literates on 9 types of IGA Trades.
  • Linkage establishment of 82 % of these trained-up Neo-literates with MFIs and Bank for new business/enterprise development and with potential employers for job placement.

    • TMSS will provide Linkage establishment related follow-up services and cooperation to rest 18% of these Trained-up Neo-literature during the remaining project period for new business/enterprise establishment and job placement.
