Biomass energy is the main energy source used in Bangladesh. It is the source of coking energy in almost all households of Bangladesh. Unfortunately biomass is becoming scarce and there is latent fuel crisis in this area. The people cook with biomass fuels in traditional stoves, which utilize biomass fuel very inefficiently and cause health hazards to the users. To improve the cooking efficiency and mitigate health hazards, GIZ under its project “Sustainable Energy for Development (SED) Phase II’’ has started to work on popularizing the installation and usage of ICS.
TMSS has already experience in installing ICS. TMSS wishes to provide households with ICS. This project proposal has been formulated on the basis of Terms of Reference attached herewith.
